About the project
Design of a luxury contemporary house in the countryside
An architectural design for a luxury single-family house in a peaceful setting outside the city. The client's main brief was an uncompromisingly modern home that makes the most of its generous plot.

01Concept and functionality
The house is designed in a contemporary minimalist, cubic style. The brief called for:
- Intelligent zoningA carefully considered arrangement of volumes for optimal comfort.
- Outdoor swimming poolA dedicated area for outdoor relaxation and entertaining.
- Integrated verandaA covered veranda fully merged with the architecture.
02Bold architectural solutions
The main challenge for our team was the distinctive, fragmented structure. The aim was to create a large cantilevered volume – an upper floor projecting forward – that appears light despite its scale.
This solution does two things at once: besides giving the house a dynamic profile, the overhanging upper floor acts as a natural canopy, forming the covered ground-floor veranda the client wanted.
03Materials and facade accents
To heighten the sense of depth and luxury, we chose strongly contrasting facade materials:
- Large-format Laminam stoneUsed on the ground floor and the boundary elements, it gives the base stability and a monumental quality.
- Natural timber board claddingWraps the upper, "floating" volume. The timber brings warmth and visually connects the modern house with the surrounding nature.
- Large glazed wallsThe finishing touch, blurring the boundary between the interior and the beautifully landscaped garden.
