Architectural design for a single-family house in a residential complex, Etropole
A stylish single-family house in the picturesque town of Etropole, designed as part of a gated residential complex concept made up of six identical homes. The main brief was an architecture that fits the mountain character of the region while giving residents uncompromising modern comfort.
01Architectural concept and key elements
The design strikes a balance by combining traditional forms with contemporary materials:
- Classic pitched roofFinished in elegant grey metal sheeting, its geometry shapes the striking angled windows on the upper floor, which bring in abundant natural light.
- Asymmetric roof extensionThe building's most distinctive structural detail. Supported on sturdy external columns, it forms a natural canopy over a very spacious veranda – the perfect place to relax outdoors.
- Open-plan living areaA double-height space that heightens the sense of volume and scale inside.
02Facade identity and materials
The facade's visual identity is built on contrast, creating architecture that is harmonious, practical and made to last:
- Silicate renderCool white and grey tones form a clean, modern base.
- Wood-effect HPL panelsFixed vertically, they bring warmth and a natural feel, balancing the cool tones of the render.
