Architectural design of a luxury semi-detached house in a classic style
An exceptional architectural project for a luxury semi-detached house in the peaceful setting of the village of Dolna Vereya. The clients' brief was for a building that works as two fully independent homes, yet reads visually as a single, cohesive and aristocratic residence with uncompromising classic design.
01Architectural challenges and exterior solutions
The challenge with semi-detached houses often lies in avoiding monotonous, dull symmetry. To create an unmistakable sense of luxury, we relied on:
- A complex composition with a substantial multi-pitched roofElegantly unites the two volumes into one harmonious structure.
- Cladding in fine, light-coloured stoneCombined with precise architectural detailing (rustication) around the projections and windows, this approach gives the building depth, weight and monumentality.
02Aesthetic accents and comfort
The result is timeless architecture that exudes prestige and class, thanks to these key elements:
- Elegant wrought-iron balustradesThey emphasise the classic lines and create a striking contrast with the light stone cladding.
- Spacious covered verandaDesigned on the first floor of each home for maximum comfort, it enriches the sculptural quality of the façade with an additional volume and provides a sheltered, private space for relaxing outdoors.
